Learning with Us
Chatmore is an intentionally small school. We are a community of learners where everyone is known, heard and has the opportunity to contribute. This allows the school to remain flexible and be responsive to the needs of all members.

We engage in an integrated curriculum approach, the first school in Bermuda to use the International Primary & Middle Years Curriculum, accredited by the International Curriculum Association.

Chatmore is COBIS Compliant, meeting the standards for a British International school, earning six commendations.
Nurtured Learning
At Chatmore, we build a family. We laugh, we learn, and we grow together, because at the end of the day, we’re not just teaching facts; we’re teaching life.

Our mixed-age classrooms provide opportunities for challenge and support while our adoption of the Responsive Classroom approach develops social-emotional development.

Students are assessed continually. Mimicking the real world, we assess primarily through presentations and coursework over tests. We use a continuum of criteria to embed that learning is ongoing, cyclical and dynamic.
Dynamic Learning Weeks
To provide learners with greater opportunities to engage in real-world learning together, we set aside three weeks across the school year to engage students in experiences they may not have access to otherwise.

Partnering with our community partners, we learn through carpentry, surfing, cosmetology, entrepreneurship, behind-the-scenes access to certain industries and so much more. Each week adapts to the interests of the students. Best of all, the teachers take part too!
Integrated Learning
Our ethos is that learning should be purposeful, with meaningful learning goals and outcomes.

The IPC, IMYC and DVLS curriculum inspire our students to grapple with demanding and meaningful topics, to produce high-quality work and, through their projects, master both academic knowledge and skills, helping to develop their learning habits and character attributes.

This approach blends content mastery and personal connection.
Beyond Chatmore
Chatmore believes that success takes many forms. The majority of our students enrol in the Dual Enrolment programme with Bermuda College, allowing them to graduate from Chatmore with college credits, fully prepared for post-secondary education.

Chatmore has also suported students in being ready for the working world. When students have a clear direction, we align them with online or in-person certifications to see them fulfil their entrepreneurial goals.
Primary Years
Our primary learners follow a well-rounded curriculum, integrating literacy, numeracy, and subjects like art, science, and humanities through hands-on, project-based learning. We emphasize critical thinking, creativity, and collaboration, with regular outdoor experiences and real-world applications enhancing classroom learning.
Through varied assessments, learners build confidence, recognizing their strengths while developing new skills. We believe education extends beyond the classroom, encouraging exploration, curiosity, and purposeful home learning.
Secondary Years
In the Secondary Years, students focus on building a strong sense of self and confidence in their academic and personal development. Following the UK National Curriculum and project-based learning through, learners explore subjects like humanities, science, and technology, while electives such as art, music, and languages provide space for creative expression. Outdoor learning and real-world experiences play a key role, enhancing classroom lessons and fostering a global perspective. In Senior Years, students choose from academic, project, or career pathways, preparing them for further education, professional success, and personal growth.
