Disclaimer: I work at Chatmore...but that's not why we chose to send our son there. My little guy is nearly 4 and is the typical preschooler: asking loads of questions, catching on to the inside jokes, negotiating better than an FBI Agent...and did I say asking loads of questions? By all accounts he's your average little boy. He's ready to learn and be challenged and when looking at schools for him, we wanted to know that where ever we sent him he'd be nurtured yet pushed to his full potential.
We've toured the other schools on island and ultimately landed back at Chatmore. Here's why:

Yes, our last blurb tapped into our ambitiousness as a family. But our little guy is also a ball of fun. As I'm writing this, I hear him singing "Follow the Leader", that soca song that blares in the summer while he's racing hot wheels down this gigantic track he built with his dad. He's a character and has been lucky enough to have travelled and experienced different cultures and people. He is an enquirer and likes to explore. He got a metal detector for Christmas and has been out searching for treasure on the beach while pretending to be a pirate!

It may be controversial but I love that Chatmore supports students in having strong opinions and values. It is an extraordinarily diverse community but somehow everyone feels a sense of place. I want that for my children. I want them to know that it's okay to be differently-minded but still get along. My son is a connector, he loves throwing parties and while an observer at first, he loves to get to know others. I know that this will be supported and nurtured at Chatmore.
